Gene and LuAnn Bowman (MTW-PCA)
Gene and LuAnn have three adult children and four grand-children. Since 1988, God has used their participation in short-term mission projects to call them to a life in missions. Gene now serves as Team Leader with BEAMM, (Border Evangelism and Mercy Ministries.) Based in El Paso, they work with all BEAMM ministries along the 2000 mile U.S./Mexican border, providing leadership and administrative assistance. They also recruit new church planters and promote the work of BEAMM to churches of the Presbyterian Church in America and the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico.
Many people come to the border because they are able to find employment and attain a Mexican upper-middle class level of living. Many are very open to hearing the gospel and receiving Christ. Upon returning to their hometowns, they become community leaders and are instrumental in planting churches in their communities.

Bruce and Susan Young (MTW-PCA)
After more than 30 years in Japan (Bruce was born in Japan of missionary parents), in 2004 Bruce and Susan (parents of three adult children) began a NEW phase of service. They now live in the Atlanta area and serve the Japanese people and our mission to them from there. They spend about four months of the year in Japan, teaching and mentoring those missionaries and Japanese pastors serving there. In the states they serve Japanese nationals who have found Christ while living in the U.S. and help to prepare them for witnessing to their own people when they return to Japan, as so many of them do, seeking to build a bridge to connect them to the church in Japan.
In addition, Bruce & Susan serve as facilitators for the Living in Grace conferences and seminars for missionaries and PCA churches through the Spiritual Life Department of Mission to the World. More and more, their work is drawing them into training and mentoring beginning missionaries in learning to adjust to cultures, learning methods to mastering a foreign language and how to be a team player, requiring much travel around the world.
